Communications Toolkit

This toolkit provides guidance on how to showcase your participation in the Impact Scholars Program and maximize the visibility of your achievements. You'll find recommendations for sharing your certificate, micropublication, and other research outputs across professional platforms such as LinkedIn and ORCID, as well as guidance for future publications, presentations, and research dissemination activities.


Graduation Cap Showcase your ISP Certificate on LinkedIn

Adding your certificate to LinkedIn helps highlight your participation in the program and makes it visible to your professional network.

Add a License & Certification

    Go to your LinkedIn profile.
    Locate the Licenses & Certifications section.
  • If the section already exists, click the + button.
  • If it does not exist:
  • Click Add profile section
  • Select Recommended
  • Choose Add licenses and certifications
    Complete the fields:
Name: 2025 Impact Scholar Program
Issuing Organization: Neuromatch
Media: Upload your certificate as media. You may also wish to upload additional materials, such as:
  • Your General Public Summary
  • Final presentation slides
  • Poster or visual abstract
  • Other project outputs


Books Showcase Your Micropublication

If your project resulted in a micropublication, we encourage you to add it to your LinkedIn profile.

Add a Publication

    Go to your LinkedIn profile.
    Locate the Publications section.
  • If the section already exists, click the + button.
  • If it does not exist:
  • Click Add profile section
  • Select Recommended
  • Choose Publications
    Enter in the information about the publication as prompted:
Publisher: Neuromatch
URL: [DOI or Zenodo Link]
Add your fellow scholars and supervisors as co-authors where appropriate.


Id Button Add Your Achievements to ORCID

ORCID provides a persistent scholarly record that can be shared across institutions, publishers, funders, and professional networks.
We encourage you to add both your micropublication and your participation in the Impact Scholar Program to your ORCID profile.

Add your Micropublication

Add your publication to the Works section of your ORCID record.
Include:
  • Publisher (Neuromatch)

Add your Program Participation and Certificate

You may also add your participation in the program as a qualification or educational activity.

Page Facing Up Publication and Dissemination guidelines

When preparing publications, presentations, posters, preprints, or other  📌research outputs arising from your Scholars Program project , please include an acknowledgment of the program's support.
You may use the following template:
This work was supported by Neuromatch Academy [or Climatematch Academy] through the Impact Scholars Program. We thank all members of our project group for their contributions, especially those involved in the early stages of the project. In particular, we acknowledge [Name(s)] for their valuable input during the initial planning and exploration phases.
Open Access publication is expected for any resulting academic articles,  as per our Publication and Presentation policy.
