Each project is eligible to receive (final amount TBD) to help scholars and mentors carry out the work. Our goal is to keep these awards flexible and useful for different types of projects.Rather than a fixed allocation, each scholar–mentor pair will jointly define how the budget should be used, using a provided for this purpose. Once completed, the budget will be reviewed and approved by Neuromatch.
The award may be used for:
- Compensation (salary support, honoraria, stipends)
- Compute resources
- Software or platform subscriptions
- Model development costs
- Travel for conferences
- Other reasonable research expenses related to the project
- Expenses will be invoiced to Neuromatch in :
- Midpoint of the program (September, TBD exact date)
- End of the program (December, TBD exact date)
- Stipends will be : $2,500 at the midpoint and $2,500 at the end. The stipend amount is fixed and cannot be revised.
- Project costs may be if needed, allowing teams to adapt funding to their project’s evolving needs.
- Teams should submit invoices only after expenses have been incurred.
- Each invoice must include all receipts or proof of payment for the reported expenses.
- Invoices should be submitted using a , provided to ensure consistency.
This structure allows each team to adapt the funding to their project’s needs while keeping administration simple.
