Non-Discrimination and Accomodation Policy

Purpose

To describe our policy on diversity and acceptance.

Policy

Neuromatch does and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, the appointment to and termination from its Board of Directors and Officers, hiring and firing of staff or contractors, selection of volunteers, selection of vendors, and providing of services and products.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We shall not discriminate and will not discriminate in employment, recruitment, Board membership, advertisements, compensation, termination, upgrading, promotions, and other conditions of employment against any employee or job applicant on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, or for any other discriminatory reason.

As part of the company's equal employment opportunity policy, Neuromatch will also take affirmative action as called for by applicable laws and Executive Orders to ensure that minority group individuals, females, disabled veterans, recently separated veterans, other protected veterans, Armed Forces service medal veterans, and qualified disabled persons are introduced into our workforce and considered for promotional opportunities.

Employees and applicants shall not be subjected to harassment, intimidation or any type of retaliation because they have (1) filed a complaint; (2) assisted or participated in an investigation, compliance review, hearing or any other activity related to the administration of any federal, state or local law requiring equal employment opportunity; (3) opposed any act or practice made unlawful by any federal, state or local law requiring equal opportunity; or (4) exercised any other legal right protected by federal, state or local law requiring equal opportunity.

Further, Neuromatch doesn’t just not discriminate, we actively fight discrimination. Any employee can and should report acts of discrimination not just by us, but by vendors and others that we work with. Neuromatch will attempt to replace products and services that it uses with vendors that also meet our standards of non-discrimination.

Accommodation

Neuromatch will perform all interviews online, as online access and computer access are a basic functional requirement for all jobs at Neuromatch as a remote employer. Neuromatch will post job ads online so that a screen reader may be used. This ensures that all applicants have equal access to apply to jobs at Neuromatch, though we will make accommodations during the interview process for any applicant that requires them.

If an employee indicates that they have a medical condition that could affect their ability to perform their essential job duties, then Neuromatch will initiate an interactive process for determining reasonable accommodations to help the employee fulfill their job functions.
