Consciousness Lecture
- Designated bonus material moved to separate section
- In addition, move Second Order Model to Bonus and just have HOSS model as part of Section 2 in Tutorial 1 ("Consciousness")
- Keep HOSS in there, but make the simulated ignition a foldable tab (but keep it in the main tutorial)
- So Bonus tutorial 3 will contain:
- Second order model stuff
- Prior designated bonus material
I think the Ethics side of things might stay broadly similar, because it already has in-built description of how to make use of time if a student is behind and what to focus on, which can be taken advantage of in estimating student time spent on material.
Also need to factor in the "last day" element in that, students can revisit things left open as it's not the case new tabs, new info will soon overwrite it - they can take their time and longer / more complex info on the last day won't lead them to need to play 'catch-up' in a way that would negatively interfere with how they would (otherwise) interact with the next day's tutorials.
In Tutorial 1, you code the second-order model first and then in the bonus you do the first-order? But the 2nd order suggests you've already done 1st order but the prior coding exercise is the shared workspace one? This feels like some things were moved around and not corrected and it was taught last year out of order. No wonder students got confused there.
Right now Tutorial 3 (newly added bonus one) puts these in the first order, first introduces first-order network, then the second-order one, then the final visualisation exercise, ending with the original bonus video extra content for the consciousness day.
