Xaq & Leila Meeting summary:
- Xaq wants to add in a separate section on POMDPs
- I discussed removing one of the learning tasks from Tutorial 2, but this then doesn't have sufficient coverage over the idea of the concept of "taskonomy" (see paper) that is supposed to be emphasised in this day
Solution is to remove the coding exercises (state they are to be run and can be examined but put them in a foldable cell)- Instead, code problem has been simplified and hints added, making it a bit more user-friendly and now fits well within estimated time available that students will have for the tutorial
- The POMDP intro might be linkable back to the Neuromatch Comp Neuro content
- We discussed student variability and familiarity with RL, some students just get it while others don't, hence a short intro in advance of the RL tutorial (Tutorial 3) might be necessary and I would record it
- Need to write script, get figures & slides and send to Xaq for review
- Keep the cosine similarity coding task in Tutorial 2 but hide the rest
- Conduct language review and low-level quality check for typos and potential increases in definitions
- As far as I remember, we're NOT moving things to a bonus section, but rather hiding cells and not requiring them to be student exercises to primarily cut down estimated student time on the tutorials for this day
